Happy Friday Foodies, put your hands up if you're ready for the weekend lol... #FridayFeeling.

If you’re a still a little hungry after dinner and are looking for a way to hold yourself over until breakfast, there are a few key things to keep in mind. While it’s true that a little “midnight snack” never hurt anybody, that isn’t a blanket rule that applies to all foods. There are so many types of foods in particular that you should never eat at night for a number of reasons. I'll be Identifying 6 of these foods which are a NO NO;  and if you've been eating them just before bed, then it must stop right there lol.

Vegetables- Veggies are really good for you and are also packed full of nutrients and you may think they can be ate at any time of the day or even before bed. In reality that's wrong, as they tend to contain a huge amount of Fibre which moves slowly through your digestive system. This doesn't digest easily and  only tend to keep you awake longer than you need to be so be very watchful of what time you consume vegetables.

Cereal- Eating a bowl of Cereal first thing in the morning gives your body a great start to the day, however eating them at night time is extremely bad for you as it contains so much sugar and carbohydrates that your body will not have a chance to burn it all off before going to bed.

Crisps- Crisps are very easy and convenient to consume just before sleep kicks in. However, processed foods have very high doses of monosodium glutamate, which will almost certainly lead to sleep-related issues that you probably won't be happy about, so eating crisps just before bed are a no no.

Pasta- Eating Pasta is really good to quench hunger particularly if you are on a controlled diet. However eating it late at night leads to weight gain as the Carbohydrate content turns to fat pretty quickly, hence why it is very important to work out after eating such foods.

Ice-Cream- We all tend to enjoy ourselves especially on a weekend after having a long week of work. Eating an Ice-cream late at night or even before bed is a very bad idea as the sugar and fat content is so high and you're not giving your body the chance it needs to burn it off before you go to bed.

Junk Foods & Sweets- Such as Burgers, Chips, Pizza's, Chocolates, Sweets,  Kebabs  etc are foods that should be consumed no later than 5pm. As much as they are bad for you, the grease, fat & caffeine contained in chocolates and sweets will lead to weight gain and also causes heart burn if consumed just before bed.

Alcohol- Most people probably consume Alcohol at night and a "nightcap" may seem like a good idea, however you'll be messing with the restorative functions of sleep. Even if you manage to get some rest, it will hardly be the quality sleep that you need to function the next day, so stay clear of Alcohol before you go to bed.
