Wagamama Firecracker Chicken like never seen before.... Try this recipe and you'll never buy from Wagamama again lol...

Who doesn't love a good firecracker meal?? Here are my fabulous ingredients and step by step recipe (as always)  thank me later :-)

Link to my video recipe here-

Ingredients:-
  • 12 ounces of boneless chicken breast cut into strips
  • 4 tbsp of honey
  • 2 tbsp of light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp of ketchup
  • 1 tbsp of Malt vinegar
  • 3 tbsp of sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic & ginger
  • 2 tbsp of Siracha sauce ***note-spicy***
  • Chopped red & green chillies
  • 2 tbsp of water
  • Thai jasmine rice- about 2 cups depending on how many people
  • 2 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 big red bell pepper
  • 1 big green bell pepper
  • handful of Mangetout
  • A sprinkle of spring onion
  • A sprinkle of shichimi powder, Black & white sesame seeds ***very important to give that wagamama look*
  • Big bowl to make the marinade
  • Thai Jasmine rice- Measure to your desire
Method:-

Cut the chicken into strips and add into a bowl, add the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, malt vinegar, sweet chilli, garlic, ginger, and mix well.

Now add the Siracha sauce, mix and add the red/green chillies (chopped) and add to the chicken marinade plus a bit of water, drop the whole red/green chillies in and cover with a cling film to marinate for few hours or overnight.

Rice- Rinse the rice in cold water, place in a saucepan, add water salt and leave to boil for 20 minutes

Now add 2 tbsp of sesame oil in a wok or pan & leave on high heat. Add the chicken pcs without the marinade; leave to fry until nicely done by turning occasionally.

Cut onions, red & green bell peppers into big chunks

Now add the peppers above to the chicken, ***remember to add once chicken is done as this needs to be crunchy***, add the marinade, chuck in some mangetouts, leave to simmer for a few minutes.

Add rice in a small bowl & place in the middle of a flat plate as shown below:-

Place chicken around the plate

Carefully lift the bowl

Drop in some spring onions and sprinkle shichimi powder, black & white sesame seeds on top **really important*** and drop quarter of a lime on top (optional).

The taste is amazingly devine guys, thank me later :-)

Today 8th December is a day to celebrate brownie's and also happens to be a Friday... Yayyyy TGIF, why not indulge yourself and eat a brownie or 2 and tag me on any social media #nationalbrownieday. Make sure you mention saiprojects so I can see your post.

In the meantime, here are 5 food facts about brownies:-

  • It is said that the brownie was created at the Palmer House Hotel during the 1893 Columbian Exposition when the owner Bertha Palmer asked the chef to make a ‘ladies dessert’.
  • The word ‘brownie’ became so popular that soon after the Expedition even Kodak named one of it’s first hand held cameras after them, the little ‘brownie.’
  • Brownies were one of the very first prepackaged food ‘mixes’ ever sold. First appearing in the Sears, Roebuck catalogue in 1897.
  • Fannie Farmer, the First Lady of American Cookery, published the first written recipe for brownies in 1896
  • A popular turn of the century alternative was considered of equal importance, the ‘blondie‘, which used many of the same ingredients except chocolate. Many believed chocolate to be a ‘vice’ on the same level as alcohol and even coffee. source-foodimentary.com

Hello readers, today 1st December 2017 is World Aids Day, Globally an estimated 34 million people have HIV. More than 35 million people have died from the virus, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history. Let's stop the Stigma and end the spread of HIV now.

World AIDS Day takes place on the 1st December each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day.

WHY IS WORLD AIDS DAY IMPORTANT?

Over 100,000 people are living with HIV in the UK. Globally, there are an estimated 36.7 million people who have the virus. Despite the virus only being identified in 1984, more than 35 million people have died of HIV or AIDS, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.
Today, scientific advances have been made in HIV treatment, there are laws to protect people living with HIV and we understand so much more about the condition. Despite this, each year in the UK around 6,000 people are diagnosed with HIV, people do not know the facts about how to protect themselves and others, and stigma and discrimination remain a reality for many people living with the condition.
World AIDS Day is important because it reminds the public and government that HIV has not gone away – there is still a vital need to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ON WORLD AIDS DAY?

World AIDS Day is an opportunity to show solidarity with the millions of people living with HIV worldwide. Most people do this by wearing an HIV awareness red ribbon on the day. You can order a red ribbon through our online shop, or pick one up in a MAC Cosmetics shop and selected branches of Morrisons.
You can also order a free pack of 100 ribbons to fundraise for the National AIDS Trust. World AIDS Day is a great opportunity to raise money for NAT, which will help to champion the rights of people living with HIV in the UK. Visit our fundraising page for ideas, or contact someone in the fundraising team for more information.
You can list your World AIDS Day event on our events page. Or, if you can’t host your own event, you can find out how to attend an event near you.

BUT WHAT ABOUT AFTER WORLD AIDS DAY?

World AIDS Day may be once a year, but you can still support people living with HIV all year round. Sign up to NAT’s mailing list to stay up-to-date with new developments in HIV, and learn how you can get involved as an activist or as a volunteer.
You can also support our work by donating to NAT. We rely on your support to continue championing the rights of people living with HIV. source-www.worldaidsday.org

Yes its that time of the year again where we all put our Christmas trees up,  lights on and start shopping for Xmas gifts ðŸ™‚🙂🙂🙂

Here are my 2017 Xmas wish list below:-

My New Year’s resolution for next year is to be more organised when it comes to my blogging activities, and what better way to get organised and start the year right than with a brand-new diary/organiser? SO I'll be bagging myself one of these...

Now this should probably not really be on my bucket list as I've already started acquiring most of them, but I thought I would anyways :-)
I am so into make up these days, it's actually unreal.. I have a new make-up collection and just testing them all out, the great quality and also looking really good with makeup on is very very therapeutic. So here's one of the things on my xmas wish list.. I'm surely upgrading my makeup collection.

Gosh I have a work phone and a personal phone; my personal phone has reached its final lap so I have hinted that I need a new phone; preferably the Iphone X.. I've got great taste right loool..

I'll really like the Mulberry small amberley satchel bag. This bag was first seen on the London Fashion Week catwalk. Inspired by British countryside
I;m into shoulder bags at the moment as its just easy for me to wear round my shoulder to go shopping whilst chasing a toddler round the shopping centre. lol Its a bit on the expensive side, but I have promised myself that I'll always treat myself with a very expensive item once a year. This year already I haven't really bought myself a very expensive item in one go. This bag is £595 but I don't care lol, its Xmas so I'll be treating myself hopefully :-)

What’s on your wish list this year? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter- @saiprojects, snapchat-saiprojects or in the comment below :-)

YES YES YES!!!!

Just as the title started another member of the Royal family is getting married . And yes you could guess right its the ever dashing member of them all. The very handsome Prince Harry, to his girlfriend of a year Megan Markle.

Clearance House announced the engagement earlier on this morning via their twitter feed.

Megan is an American actress of the ever popular series "Suits" she plays a young African American paralegal. She is also involved with a lot charity work, which the rumour has always been how she and prince charming met each other.

The buzz is the wedding will be in spring 2018, so most likely in May as Duchess of Cambridge will be having a baby in April. So good timing for all Brits. We do love our royal weddings in this country.

Prince Harry brings a fresh feel into the royal family just as his older brother did by marrying a commoner. Getting married to a woman of colour brings it into a whole new level.

The last royal wedding was awesome, and I bet getting married to an American Hollywood star is making this one possible for anyone to attend! I hope I get an invite @clearancehouse!

Wishing Prince Harry and Ms Megan Markle a Happy life together. I will keep you my readers posted.

OK guys so for everyone participating in the exchange of gifts or Secret Santa as its traditionally called; you probably always find yourself in this same situation every year when the work christmas party is approaching and you have decided again, 10 years in a row to take part in secret santa.

So what exactly is Secret Santa just incase you don't know???? Here's a brief definition from google

"an arrangement in which a group of friends or colleagues exchange Christmas presents anonymously, each member of the group being assigned another member for whom to provide a small gift, typically costing no more than a set amount."

Not only is this fun; this also gives you the opportunity to receive and give pressies and keep them under the tree for that exciting time of xmas morning.. I particularly enjoy partaking in secret santa, it's an exciting time for me to see what people end up getting me. Fingers crossed, I've always been quite lucky to get lots of nice handy stuff...

Hello readers and happy Universal Children's day :-)

Children's Day is a day recognised to celebrate children. The day is celebrated on various calendar dates in different countries...

Here's a brief history about children's day from wikipedia....

Children's Day was begun on the second Sunday of June in 1856 by Reverend Dr. Charles Leonard, pastor of the Universalist Church of the Redeemer in Chelsea, Massachusetts: Dr. Leonard held a special service dedicated to, and for the children. Dr. Leonard named the day Rose Day, though it was later named Flower Sunday, and then Children's Day.

Children's Day was first officially declared a national holiday by the Republic of Turkey in 1929 with the set date of 23 April. Children's Day has been celebrated nationally since 1923 with the government and the newspapers of the time declaring it a day for the children. However, it was decided that an official declaration was needed to clarify and justify this celebration and the official declaration was made nationally in 1931 by the founder and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The International Day for Protection of Children is observed in many countries as Children's Day on 1 June since 1950. It was established by the Women's International Democratic Federation on its congress in Moscow (4 November 1949).[citation needed] Major global variants include a Universal Children's Holiday on 20 November, by United Nations recommendation.

Universal Children's Day takes place annually on 20 November. First proclaimed by the United Kingdom in 1954, it was established to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world's children.

That is observed to promote the objectives outlined in the Charter and for the welfare of children. On 20 November 1959 the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. The United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child on 20 November 1989 and can be found on the Council of Europe website. (www.wiki.com)
