Morninggggggggggggg, pancakes are almost everyone's favourite and it's only proper to have a day dedicated to celebrating this huge day :-)

Lets get into the background of this day..

Shrove Tuesday (also known in Commonwealth countries and Ireland as Pancake Tuesday or Pancake day) is the day in February or March immediately preceding Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent), which is celebrated in some countries by consuming pancakes. In others, especially those where it is called Mardi Gras or some translation thereof, this is a carnival day, and also the last day of "fat eating" or "gorging" before the fasting period of Lent.

Today February 8th is marked as International Scotch Day; today is billed as a global fiesta for Scotch whisky fans, 8 February marks a collective dram-raising through events, bar activities, and good old-fashioned catching up with friends over a drop of the good stuff.

World Nutella day was first celebrated on 5th Feb 2007 by an American blogger known as Sara Rosso. She loved the chocolate spread so much she decided that it deserved its own holiday.

What is World Cancer day?

On 4 February, World Cancer Day is a day to unite in the fight against cancer. Every Unity Band worn, every pound

donated and every gesture of support will play an important part of beating cancer sooner.

Prostate Cancer- According to the BBC, the death toll for prostate cancer has now overtaken that of breast cancer. The number of mean dying from prostate cancer has surpassed the number of women dying from breast cancer.

"Prostate Cancer UK says advances in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer are paying off, and increased funding could benefit prostate cancer.

The biggest cancer killers in the UK remain lung and bowel cancer, with prostate now in third place.

The latest figures from 2015 show there were 11,819 deaths from prostate cancer compared with 11,442 from breast cancer"- source-bbc.co.uk
